Getting Started

How Canu Works

The observe → analyze → plan → approve → execute → verify loop.

Canu runs a single, inspectable loop. Every step is logged and every state change is attributable to a person or a rule.

The loop

  • Observe — sync normalized data from every connection.
  • Analyze — compute burn, revenue, runway, and detect anomalies.
  • Plan — produce candidate actions ranked by benefit vs. impact.
  • Approve — a human (or an approval rule) authorizes the action.
  • Execute — Canu performs the action through the connected tool.
  • Verify — Canu confirms the effect on the next sync and reports drift.

The financial engine

Under the agent sits a deterministic engine. It normalizes transactions, classifies spend by vendor and category, and projects runway from trailing burn and committed revenue. The agent reasons over engine output — it never invents numbers.
